They asked Marner the same damn questions after the game; next day, same questions. How much are the answers going to differ in a span of 12 hours? These reporters are amazingly inept.

I love the fact that Domi can bring a similar playmaking style to Marner on the 1st line PLUS provide a physical presence to the line, resulting in Matthews getting more time and space, and not having to worry as much out there. Plus the other guys injected into the lineup who can handle the physicality a team like Florida will bring. For those who don’t fully understand how important that is, you will definitely understand soon.
As for Marner, I love that guy, and it’s so huge that Domi can fill that role on the 1st line or anywhere in the lineup, because now Mitch can provide some important playmaking depth on the 2nd line and this lineup is way more spread out and hard to defend.
I really hope all of this translates into playoff success.
I always said in previous years that this is what was missing, so I’m curious to see if it makes a difference in the playoffs.
The defensive additions, although not blockbuster signings, were still very important and should definitely see an impact physically from guys like Edmonson and McCabe.
Looking forward to seeing what happens!

Mitch seems a lot better with the media. I know the onslaught of questions everyday can weigh on a guy but us fans love watching this stuff. We like nice Mitch better than cranky Mitch lol
