This whole Domi-Nemec thing is making the rounds today, so I just wanted to show some love for the boy wonder on defense. This season has been rough, and one of the reasons that made it so—injuries— is also the reason we brought him up earlier than planned. I think this sub is universally stoked with how well he’s performed.
I’m not a big stats guy, so I don’t know how his numbers look. To my eye, he’s smart, consistent, and tough. He seems to keep a cool head without losing the fire. And he always seems to be having fun!
Also, a big thing the discourse around last night is getting wrong is this characterization of him being this totally helpless kid. He’s got guts, and I’m sure he would’ve squared up with Domi if he’d been given the opportunity (though I don’t know if the end result would’ve been much better…).
Just for fun, [here he is taking down Marchand](https://www.youtube.com/watch?si=aTcVGO2DRy2c5zyL&t=18&v=iXMH6aJfRF0&feature=youtu.be).

He’s a smart guy… he’ll learn to navigate those politics without losing his edge… Malkin got him pretty good a couple weeks back
I can’t wait to see what kind of player he’ll be two years from now.
Oh he won’t forget this, I think he’s going to add a lot more aggressiveness as he fills out.
Where was McDermid ? He should’ve taught Domi a lesson. This is what happens when you mess with our kids
Once again, we look soft. You can make excuses for saying we needed the 2 points, we have to be smart. That argument is over. The season is over. The kid was assaulted. Now he knows nobody will help him. Great message. Fitz needs to address this. No response at all in a meaningless game. And the kid did nothing. If anything, matthews got him a bit. Very soft team.
Heal up Nemo you’re the best thing to happen to this team and my next jersey 💯
