The Dallas Stars were shutout by the Winnipeg Jets 3-0 and one of the bigger storylines from the game was Nils Lundkvist. Lundkvist played a team least 8:43 seconds and only had a couple of shifts in the 2nd period. The Stars were essentially playing five defensemen, and when Pete DeBoer was asked about it, he gave an answer that may leave the impression Lundkvist is not a part of their playoff plans. Joey revisits the conversation and gives his updated opinion on Nils and why his time may be done with the Dallas Stars. In the second segment, we have an update on Stars prospect Lian Bichel who left the AHL to go back to Sweden to play in the SHL. His team Rogel BK has gone on a 13 game winning streak and our in the SHL finals. He’s playing big minutes and that is a great sign for Stars fans everywhere. It sucks. I hope he doesn't turn into another Honka (certainly more upside)…I don't think you can play suter and Hak together..just split up the top pair I guess? Whatever gets the Stars the Cup 😊
Well…. at least the Rangers lost to the Flyers last night so the Stars are still a point back for the best record in the league. Take care of business against the Kraken on national TV tomorrow afternoon to clinch the Central Division title!
Nils is too small period. He has the skills, but his frame and musculature is just not built for post season hockey.
I truly think that these guys are just saving all their energy for the playoffs with only two games left so I wouldn't be surprised they actually lose these games.
Talking about people being too small. I am so sick of seeing that stat. Have you guys not ever heard of Brad Marchant, Pat Verbeek or Theo Fleury.
The problem with the stars very simple. Wyatt got over 30 goals on the 3rd line. BENN and pavalski should not be on 1st PP unit(unless Jamie benn stands in front net to screen goalie )
Stars are going to have to play a healthy Knights team in the first round…going to be a rough one boys.
