  1. I knew DeBrincat would be something special. People questioned his size, but I knew that was nothing to be concerned about. DeBrincat constantly battles in front of the net, and he is a relentless attacker. DeBrincat plays a style similar to Marchand when he was a rookie, and I simply mean that he plays a very determined game that includes battling in front of the net. DeBrincat doesn't play dirty, but he has the potential to have his game constantly evolving, which is not as common as one would think.

  2. Size doesn't matter in the NHL anymore. The NHL is about skill, speed, and youth now. If he were playing in the early to late 90s, then he probably wouldn't be in the league, which would have been a shame. I am glad the NHL changed, and players like DeBrincat can play in the NHL now!

  3. This is the kid team USA left off their roster 2 years ago at the world juniors. USA but it still amazes me he was snubbed. Think he was 2nd in the OHL in scoring at the time and no he's tearing it up with the Hawks.

  4. Edmonton still made the biggest mistake out of anyone by not drafting DeBrincat. Even if DeBrincat was just being fed the puck by McDavid in Erie, which I already knew wasn't entirely the case, DeBrincat and McDavid were still proven to have chemistry, so drafting him was still an obvious thing they should have done. McDavid would not have been happy about Edmonton's decision to not draft DeBrincat. McDavid should have approached them and begged them to draft him. Edmonton would have been forced to do it because they are nothing without McDavid, and McDavid should have a say in who the team gets to help them out. McDavid is the face of the Edmonton Oilers now, so they need to give him a share of the responsibility over helping to house a truly competitive team every year. Franchise players deserve a say in what direction the team should take moving forward. McDavid should not be able to make the executive decisions, but he should still be allowed to give recommendations to the organization about things that would help them house a more competitive team on a consistent basis.
