Filip Chytil RETURNING FOR PLAYOFFS? | New York Rangers Injury Update

Filip Chytil might be able to return to the New York Rangers lineup at some point during this playoff run. Chytil would provide a huge boost to this team while also providing some very good depth. The Rangers could do what we’ve seen the Golden Knights do with Mark Stone and the Lightning have done with Nikita Kucherov having them come back from their injuries in the playoffs so their cap hits won’t matter.

  1. I heard about this report. I honestly really like Chytil but he's risking his life at this point with all of the concussions he's had during his young life. I think he should retire, before he becomes another Chris Pronger where he can't even go into any stadiums due to how the light sensitive he became because of all of his concussions during his playing career.

  2. Im a big fan of Chtyl,im open to bringing him back our lines arent set other than 2 so he can fit in . It just might be a difference maker if we go deep if since hes fresh.

  3. I would put him with Kreider and Zib first to get that line going. That is priority #1! He's a better winger than center and has a shoot first mentality, speed and high hockey IQ. Putting him anywhere else would be a waste,

  4. Ease him back in on the 3rd line. But I'd like to see him slot up to the 1st line. That first line really needs help. The 5 on 5 is a huge concern.

  5. The doctors obviously know what they are doing, I think he will be back just when is the question. I think he’ll be there Game 1 of playoffs hopefully all goes well.
    I like these lines:
    Chytil-Mika-Kakko
    Panarin-Troch-Laffy
    Kreider-Wennberg-Vesey
    Cuylle-Goody-Rempe

I think Kreids and Mika need to be separated. Kakko and Chytil bring strength and speed and shoot first mentality to a playmaking Mika. I think Kreider is more valuable as a third line checking forward, I don’t think he and Mika are gelling this year especially with any of the RW options they have and I don’t think Chytil is the answer. Kreider is a good forechecker and moving him to the bottom 6 adds a lot of depth. I also like the idea of Chytil being eased back at the wing, centers are put in much more vulnerable positions especially in risk of an injury. That first line hopefully will have a similar success as the kid line without Laffy who has found a perfect fit with Panarin and Trocheck as the duos center.

  6. Great video but I disagree lineup wise keep Wennberg as the third line center. Chytil has never been that good at faceoffs.

    Make the lineup this:
    20-93-96
    10-16-13
    72-91-24
50-21-26 (Rempe or brodz can rotate in with Cuylle)

  7. Chytil is fast, he can skate with Kreider and Mika which makes him a better choice than anyone else out there right now. He's been here now for almost a week, by the time the playoffs roll around you're looking at 10-12 days … health is one issue, but he can be game ready in that period of time, easily.
