Per the new rules, we cannot win the lottery again in a 5-year span IIRC, so we would be stuck at 10, 11, or 12th overall should two teams behind us win the lottery.
Yes, Seattle and Calgary play on Thursday, but Seattle cannot catch us by virtue of the wins tiebreaker, and Calgary cannot due to regulation wins.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
I also don’t think the NJ Devils make this pick, I feel it will be traded away.
