I actually can’t watch tonight’s game. I was born in 96 and grew up with season tickets. Been to every stadium through the ups and downs and seeing these players leave after what we’ve been through the last 10 years especially straight up breaks my heart. I have to take a break from the nhl for some time now.
The league, Ryan Smith, AM and every owner before him can kick rocks. You can say it’s not the leagues fault but they could never pin down a reliable owner even after all the vetting they’ve done. You can defend Ryan smith but that guy for sure campaigned against this team and pushed the NHL to pull the trigger to move them. No one is ever going to defend the owners so fuck them. These players deserve so much better and that is the silver lining here, I hope they get that in SLC.
I’m still holding out hope that they get saved somehow but I know it’s not likely.
