How can you call that an elbow? He is clearly leading with his shoulder, the elbow is down by the side and after the hit he extends the arm. Announcer doesn't know jack.

Glad I'm not an Islander's fan and subjected to that whinny homer announcer announcer all the time. Maybe Johansson should have held up a bit since Hickey put himself in a bad situation by skating with his head down. Penalty? Maybe. Supension? Laughable. Hit with his arm against his body and extended thought the hit. No different than Clutterbuck or Martin do all game.
This is the first time Johansson has done something like this. He's one of the cleanest players in the league. He shouldn't be doing stuff like this. He's better than this.
Sportsnet…LOL Johannson is like the least violent player on the roster. These announcers now are such homers that its not even fun to listen to. They've got their home teams schlong so far down their throat that I cant understand a word they're saying.

The hit was with the shoulder and not the elbow, but he made contact with the head first. I think a 2 game suspension is ok.
