Since leaving the Islanders, John Tavares has scored more goals than Brock Nelson in just 2 of 6 seasons. If Tavares stays for $11M there’s no world Nelson is still on the team, and if he was, zero chance we get Horvat. JT is still a very good player and I’m sick of dunking on him, but him leaving absolutely improved this franchise’s outlook both short and long term.
