Sadly they should have LTIR him last year when he got hurt right before trade deadline and they should have done the same this year as he clearly has not been 100% since the wrist Injury. The extra cap room could have allowed the team to pick up some key additions.
People are too hard on his play sometimes. Yes, obviously you'd always like to have the production he can give at 100%, but even dealing with a nagging injury he's still a top 9 forward who plays physical. What's the fkin problem? You want to pull him for someone who scores 0.18 points per game? Rest him up as much as you can, but you've got to put him in for important games.
Hes been dealing with this all year, why the F did we not LTIR him, get him the surgery he needed to be healthy for the playoffs, and load up at the deadline? And then to top it off, you announce the injury right before the playoffs? This organization is so unbelievably incompetent
Evander has played in top 6 minutes every season of his career until this season and never been on pp1 on this team. I think that played a role in him losing some confidence this season as its unmotivating to be playing as a bottom 6 role
