If konstantinov didn't get hurt in that auto accident the Wings would have won 4 cups in a row.
Back in the day a dman getting 70 points is like a dman getting 100 points today. A 30ish point dman was considered a top dman. Now a 30ish dman is considered average. So when Lidstrom was doing it consistently it was mind blowing at the time. So you can't compare todays NHL stats to the good ole days. It's like comparing todays NFL to the 2 a days, grid iron NFL of the past. It's flag football vs gladiator football. A lot of the 90's-early 2000's guys would be rag dolling these current players and a lot of these current players would not survive in that era. The Avs-Wings rivalry was the best hockey you'll ever see in your life. It felt more like Tyson-Holyfield every time instead of a hockey game. Those were the days!
Delusional…
What about the coaching staff
How do they compare??
I think miller is more like stevey y than petterson
Stevey Y was damn hard to play against, Petey, not so much.
Canucks will SWEEP t he Preds, and then if they get the Coilers in the next round will SWEEP them as well. Hughs is the true NHL MVP…….Hughs for the Hart, Canucks will win the Stanley Cup.
Canucks are no where near as good as the redwings team back in the yzerman and lidstrom era KEEP DREAMING VANCOUVER
It is difficult, if not almost impossible, to compare teams from different eras. The Canucks have won no Stanley Cups. If they win a few cups, then you can compare them to other teams who won and dominated their eras. Interesting idea, though. It gives fans something to discuss.
This is apple and oranges I love the canucks but that red wings team was so much better they had the magic man
I don’t see it. The Wings had a lot of things that Vancouver does not have. Like Darren McCarty.
Lego, it's magic mirror on the wall. LOL.
Ok calm tf down.
It wouldb nice to have nick lidstrom on our team.when he retired his stats where still awesome. But nucks have a great chance this year😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Ridiculous again Lego. Just wow.
