  1. I wish the Pens never traded Mike Matheson. I thought he was a super solid two-way defender who could skate. Hopefully Graves bounces back, or maybe Pickering impresses enough in camp to make it as that 3rd LD.

  2. The gossip about sid leaving is embarrassing. The way people use his drive and competitiveness to push the narrative is particularly tacky… As if sidney crosby is that desperate for another cup. It feels a lot like projection from people who have never won anything

  3. I will be playing close attention to the AHL playoffs. Half of this Wilkes-Barre roster should be in Pittsburgh next year, and not just moonlighting. ❤🔥🍻

  4. Im glad i wasnt the only person that noticed. I told my lady "we look nothing like these guys" with regards to the games we watched VS the penguins we watched. There was so much breakout play it started to feel like what Kobe Bryant described about the NBA: accidental basketball. Theres no real organized movement and the league its all happenstance. Unfortunately that means our goalies are seeing a different game than our players are used to

  5. I got a draft question for you DK. If they move up to the top ten in the lottery, would that then be considered a top ten protected pick, or would SJ still get our 1st?

  6. Dk didn't we have that type of young quick, skilled defender in tye Smith? It didn't seem that the coaching staff and gm were too interested in him in the system/line up

  7. I thought his off seasons decisions (Dubas) were not great at all. I wasn't excited about any of them.
6.4 million on 6 players who produced less than 10 goals and didn't help the bottom 6 (a failure he had in Toronto as well, building a poor bottom 6).
Graves although I liked, was too much money (another failure in Toronto giving out too big of contracts), and didn't move the puck well out of his zone well which is what Sully likes.
With that 6.4 million you could have gotten two guys that produced 40 goals this year, as an example imagine the bottom 6 was: Carter, Eller, Nyqvist, Geekie, O'connor, Puustinen….say instead of any of the Johnsson, Johnstone, Nieto, Hinostroza, Butcher, Pullijarvi…who made no tangible impact and were all guys who were long shots and gambles (something he did in Toronto is take a flyer on a guy with low ceiling but to hit a homer)…don't think you build a championship team that way
