Taller than Saros who’s a top 5 goalie so I’m not too worried
He's looked really sharp the last two games but there were a number of close calls that a bigger goalie would have swallowed no problem.
You might be right that he needs to play further out in the crease and rely on his athleticism.
Let's not forget that Dominik Hasek, perhaps the greatest goalie ever, was 6'1" and only 165lbs.
I'll be rooting for the kid.
I think part of it is he also just needs time to fill out physically… like not only is he a short goalie but he's a small goalie right now.
Like in 3 years as he matures more and gets up to 190lbs he's gonna fill out the net more too.
But right now he absolutely looks like a kid in net 😂

Some arm chair coaches had no knowledge about goaltender.
Hasek, Kipper, Saros, and a whole boatload of other great goalies around his size. This is a narrative that is only a narrative if you don’t bother thinking
