Did THG mention earlier that Sabres signed goaltender Michael Houser to a one-year contract worth $700,000.
With Johansson now gone I suppose Adams is now trying to bring through Lukkonen through before the end of the season, having him in a tandem with Ullmark will be an interesting sight. I do wonder how this affects Buffalo with the expansion draft however.

I can see why the Avs would want a goalie. But why would they go for Johansson?
A good goalie for a sixth round pick ? Yes please ! Might as well give a cookie in retrurn. Feeling good to be an Avs fan right now. And a big framed goalie like that is perfect the way our defense plays.
I would expect Buffalo to trade more before and even at the deadline date. I hope San Jose can make a deal with Buffalo before the deadline, because Buffalo is dead in the water and in need of a desparate rebuild while most San Jose is not interested in it. I would love for San Jose to get another one of their goalies for Jones.
As for draft picks, I'd say the later round picks should be worth more than normal, because there'es a bigger chance that someone good will slip in the draft.
Jonas Johansson is likely going to Colorado, according to Kevin Weekes. I can say without hesitation that the Avs are getting the worst goalie I've seen during my 19 seasons covering the Sabres. He doesn't stop pucks in practice or games. – John Vogl

Wierd trade. Why waste time trading for a 6th round draft pick. Sabres makes absolutely zero sense. The ownership are the worst in the entire NHL and that’s why I will start to support Seattle Kraken next season. If Sabres are worst in NHL with the roster they have, how are they ever going to be relevant?

Peter Stastny / Joe Sakic; Aye-yai-yai!), the hockey news is not always easy to come by, and your 'News of The Day' segments are so great.
Wondering… I'm obviously missing numerous segments of NoTD; do you have any designated playlist for these? (I couldn't see one on your YT channel… ??) Also, not that you have to, haha, obviously, but, why don't you title these segments "News of The Day", so they're more easily searched for? ie: NoTD-2021-03-11-A … (B, C, etc., should there be more than one in a day), or whatever you'd like to designate them as. Eichel to Montreal for Price? No? Toronto for Tavares? How about Eichel and Linus Ullmark to Vancouver for Holtby, Pearson and Motte? Buffalo could definitely use a guy like Holtby right now, all their goalies are on IR eccept 35 year old Carter Hutton, and DiPietro could play backup while Ullmark's injured or you know, just take over as backup himself.
I feel bad for guys like Eichel who could be NHL legends but spend their entire career smothered on a mediocre team like Buffalo where good PR skills and being a media face is more important to the owners than winning. He's being used and slightly abused, it's almost criminal I tell ya!

I’m wondering who was a buffalo sabers back up is going to be now I know we have two guys but neither have seen any action in at least a year or two
Not teddy and Tanev! Ahhhh my two favourite guys, outside of Sid obviously haha. But those guys are just so hard working, every night. And they are HUGE on the penalty kill. They were the only two who played all of last season. This is gonna hurt the team, I will be very surprised if they don’t suffer for this.
I actually really like Johanson. He has played great so far in Buffalo, I would rather Hutton go and have him as #1 until Ulmark is back.
