It’s a sports gambling coverup. The NHL is in on it. You guys are special if you can’t see it
Friedman said it BEAUTIFULLY on Pat Macafee yesterday; everyone does it (the LTIR stuff) but Vegas has perfected it
i'm one of the conspiracy theory guys and i'm glad jesse cleared that up. it was taking a lot of energy hating on vegas. now i can concentrate on pettersson and losing demko.
They are abusing the rule. However if the rule allows for this abuse then you can't really be upset about it.
Yeah, the over-competitive d-bag ruining game night isn't "cheating" technically, he's just making sure nobody has any fun. Sportsmanship is dead, win at any costs, I knew who Vegas was the moment they shafted Flower.
Short answer no, long answer yes. They’re breaking the spirit of the CBA, the Canucks got retroactively punished for a legal contract under the CBA, so if that was the case then, it’s most definitely the case with Vegas now. However, it’s Buttmans baby so they can never do wrong.
Yes Indeed they are cheating. The cba needs to fix this problem
Explained really well here. Glad some people still keep a level head on the situation and actually understand the facts.
Funny how he goes on LTIR around the same time every year.
I mean Toronto is icing the highest cap in the playoffs and it’s not doing them too many favors. It’s almost like you can spend a ton of money but the players need to actually play and win.
VGK was the #8 overall seed in the conference and Dallas was the #1 overall seed. The division format sucks but they would still be playing each other in the other format.
No, they aren’t, but they are using the loophole in bad faith. Not the only team to do it, but maybe the most egregious abuse of the rule. Hopefully it will be changed soon, but we will see if the GMs are really upset at it.
Lived here 25 years and watching this city turn into what it is ( corporate greed) so quickly is gutting. I will be a Sharks Sabres fan and Knights and Vegas can suck it. Town is a scam on every level
Jesse is drinking that Vegas kool-aid
For me it wasn’t just Mark Stone, it was that they activated like 3 or 4 players for game 1 of the playoffs and and somehow none of them were healthy enough to play a few days earlier for their last game of the season. I don’t doubt the injuries my question is if a player is healthy enough to play. Edie’s they were actives of LTIR. But as noted, Tampa did this before VGK and The Blackhawks even did it before that. This has been going on for nearly a decade and with multiple cup winning teams.
NBA handles this much better. You have to apply for an exception that would give you that room, and it would only apply if it's clear that player couldn't contribute this season. If it's like that Mark Stone can come back for game 1 (like he did)….. no you can't then just add 3 good players just because. If Mark Stone is out till next season… Yeah okay.
If Stone were THAT awesome why does he keep getting hurt every single February? The rule simply needs to be changed that if you go on LTIR, you are not eligible for playoffs that year, period.
So far they are under this year as well on the team they ice.
It's a ridiculous loophole that no one should be surprised exists in the NHL. It blatantly alters fairness at the most important point in an NHL season which is also ridiculous, and we could see multiple cup winners over the last several years employ it.
its why you have 108K subscribers because you can't be objective and why Sports Net dropped you. Let it sink in.
