US team’s scoring chances per 60 just went down by 10

US goaltending is going to fall off a cliff halfway through the tournament

Jon Cooper probably sent a letter of recommendation for newsy just to keep him from sharing more TBL secrets on a national broadcast

This is good. Exposes coach to different strategies, and more importantly networks him with other coaches and players. If guys on the national team enjoy playing for Lalonde, they might think about Detroit next time they’re FA

  5. This is good. Perhaps Newsy can pick up some new ideas, strategies and systems to improve his coaching. New ideas and new methods can improve not just him but hopefully impact the DRWs in a positive way going forward. At the NHL level he’s only been exposed to Cooper’s influence so getting other coaches prospective can only help his learning “process”.

Petry, Larkin, Lyon, Lalonde, future Red Wing Werenski, Westlund all at the worlds, Detroit is America’s team.
