Rangers Take Commanding 3-0 Series Lead With Stingy Road Win | New York Rangers



Igor Shesterkin made 27 saves in the Rangers 3-1 win over the Capitals in Washington giving New York a 3-0 series lead. The last time the Rangers swept a series was agains the Thrasers in 2007. The Rangers look to make the complete sweep in Game 4 on Sunday back in Washington.

    If the Rangers beat the Capitals in Game 4 on Sunday, they will advance to the 2nd round against the Hurricanes, who will beat the Islanders in Game 4 tomorrow.

    Feel bad for Hank. Watching a defends who has the goalies back. Watching Igor get the credit for thinks he’s done but didn’t have the right players to support him. Also possibly watching the Rangers make it all the way. But most of all having the goalie who outplayed you on the other team for the chance to win the only cup they came closest to now be on the team that might be able to go all the way according to stats. My guess he’s more excited for the team than bothered. But either way it must be rough sometimes talking about support for the goalie and wanting so badly to say I did my part. I just didn’t have what the Rangers have now back then.
