I hope this is the recipe for succes and the Leafs go all “oilers” on the powerplay tonight!

  2. It’s just crazy to keep Reaves in (even if he’s played well) when he’s going to be bench in 3rd period anyway.

  3. GooseRider960

Look, I do understand Robertson’s been scratched far more then anyone else, and he doesn’t deserve it based on his play. But even if the 4th line has looked great, I’m not sure Robertson fits the playstyle there. I feel likr Jarnkrok would be better there and keep Robertson on 3rd (though that may get caved in defensively).

  4. foxcatcher3369

5-0 blowout in favor of the leafs to make things even more fun.

  5. 1UP4UScoobydoo

Don’t touch the fourth line Keefe! What’s he thinking.

  6. Bring Brodie in for the PK but sit one of their PK forwards?

  7. AdrianVeidt9

4th line has been great. Stupid move. Can’t wait to have a real coach next season.

    “Don’t take Robertson out”

    *Monkeys paw curls*

  9. BayStreetGuy

I dont like it. Our 4th line (Reevo – Kampf – Dewar) outplayed their 4th line so far.

  10. Acrobatic_Law5598

I’m feeling very confident in a leafs win tonight. I hate to get ahead of myself, but we’re too good to go down like this.

  11. BathroomSerious1318

Doer sits? Nicky better score tonight

  12. If this is what we’re doing I’d much rather see

    Bertuzzi – Matthews – Domi

    Knies – Tavares – Robertson

    Jarnkrok – Holmberg – Nylander

    Reaves – Kampf – Marner

  13. EddyMcDee

This seems like a bad decision? The 4th line has been better than expected and winning it’s time.

  14. SharksLeafsFan

Leafs got to get an early lead so that we can give Reavo some ice time.

  15. I’d guess Keefe thinks Robertson can turn more of the 4th line chances in to goals.

It is odd that he’s played Robertson 7 minutes a night, though, and still keeps him in.

  16. WintersbaneGDX

I’m going to try and focus on the positive. Maybe Kampf’s defensive skill can cover for Robertson’s mediocre play in that regard. And Maybe Reavo can create some space out there.

Maybe Robertson is exactly the burst-offense that line needs to become a true threat.

    Maybe.

  17. Judge_Rhinohold

I don’t think Robertson’s strengths mesh with that 4th line.

  18. For sure wouldnt go with that 4th line in away games

  19. Jonesdeclectice

Curious decision to sit Dewar who IMO has been instrumental in making L4 as effective as they have been. Also curious that Keefe decided to change Kampf-Dewar as the primary penalty killers (when it was doing really well) and put Marner back there (where it has since struggled) – I think Dewar got stuck on 3rd PK rotation.

  20. GoldenxGriffin

Dog shit decision and idk why everyone is saying should of been robertson, holmberg has literally done nothing

  21. f33lth3d3w

Leaving Sammy in the then also messing up the only line that has been constantly showing up for this series so far is laughably pathetic.

I hate to break it to you all but they ain’t winning tonight.

  22. whatlineisitanyway

Just don’t draw any penalties tonight.

  23. Oooh idunno about that decision, unless they plan to mix up the feeble powerplay with Robertson

  24. billcosbyinnocence

Dewar sitting considering how good he’s been this series is an interesting choice….

  25. deanowhitby

I guess it makes sense. If Nylander has a set back, Robertson can move up. Maybe they can use him on PP2 also. But Dewar was pivotal on the PK

  26. dirtybird131

Ah yes, Nick Robertson, noted physical force, playing on the 4th line

Can’t see this going horribly wrong

  27. ElephantShell34

Obviously Nylander has to enter the lineup but deciding who to take out is honestly tough. The two options that seem to be talked about are Dewar and Robertson.

The PK absolutely stinks, and the team is also struggling to score particularly on the powerplay.

Dewar helps the PK (in theory, I find it interesting that we have a bunch of supposedly good PKers but the PK still stinks but that’s a different discussion), and Robertson would help their chances to score and can contribute on the 2nd PP unit. So both of these guys address weaknesses in some way.

They are clearly prioritizing scoring over goal prevention.

  28. Monst3r_Live

what a mistake. dewar plays good hard minutes. the kind of player the leafs need. they don’t need a soft winger who can’t score or hit or play defence.

  29. OutcomeAdvanced123

Only 2 conclusiones to be made
    1. Keefe is an idiot by taking apart one of the two great lines. Robertson is great, but lacks what makes a 4th liner great.
    2. He still believes that we must outscore all our problems

  30. NEWaytheWIND

Reaves has played way above his early season game. I don’t know if he’s the better option over Dewar, but it’s hard to pull a veteran who’s stepped up and given it 110.

  31. I don’t think Dewar deserved to sit but honestly I don’t think Robertson did either. I think the fact the Leafs scored 2 goals yet against in Game 3 suggests you need a guy with Robertson’s shot more than Dewar

  32. TheOneWithThePorn12

I don’t like seeing Dewar come out but whatever.

Who replaces him on the PK? I assume Willy isn’t getting those assignments tonight.

  33. Jonesdeclectice

After thinking about this for a few hours now, here’s my only real takeaway:

This gives us four lines that can potentially score goals. If Robertson can play good minutes on L4 where that line can put pressure on Bruins’ D in the offensive zone and create some scoring chances (maybe a goal?!), that really helps to open things up for the other lines. L3 should be a lot more effective with Willy slotted in, but we’re still really hoping and praying that Mitch can pull his head out of his ass and start to drive his line (we’re really missing McMann for that…).

Basically, Robertson’s sitting in Knies’ spot IMO

  34. SpecialistSlip2064

Really like how Dewar has been playing

  35. “So our PK is atrocious, but the fourth line has been clicking.”

Keefe: “Let’s sit our fourth liner that’s a good penalty killer.”

Galaxy brain coaching from Keefe yet again.

  36. muffinpro52

I don’t exactly hate Robertson staying in but not on the fourth line. His play style doesn’t fit the identity of that fourth line at all. I’d rather they move Jarnkrok or Knies down to fourth

  37. dreamsdrop

Surprised that it is robertson to say in and Dewar out considering how good the 4th line has been.

I almost wrote and the need for Dewar on the PK but the PK has been shit so w/e
