Leafs are a top 10 team but not top 5. So them being down 3 games to 1 is not shocking. Bruins beat them every game this year easily. Why are people shocked by the same thing in the playoffs.
Also had bad luck and goaltending wasn't as stellar. Healthier players and a bit more luck and easily we could be up 3-2.
I'm a bit surprised x players are so surprised. Why aren't they going after the other teams that are down 3-1. I love the Leafs but they were never a top cup contending team this year.

Matthews ain’t shit in the playoffs. Hes the highest paid player in the nhl and he’s well below point per game playoffs. So he’s no better than Mitch. Remember when you all were raving about Mitch the year he was blocking shots making plays up for a selke. Matthews has never had any good playoff series.
I dont care how many so called playoff type players you add to a team. If your stars arent the best players on the ice for your team, they will not win in the playoffs. You can have a billion regular season points, but if you arent producing or leading from the front in the playoffs the team has no shot. Especially on a team like the Leafs where a couple guys are making so much money. There is a reason guys like Sid, Stamkos, Kuch, Bergeron all took a little less, it is so they could be surrounded with more talent top to bottom. Toronto could sure use a guy like Hyman right now digging out some greasy goals.

Jets fan here, I’ve been backing the jets core the whole time they’ve been here and always had hope they could get it done. But the jets have truly proven they don’t have what it takes, they honestly have to blow it up. They just don’t have the right kind of guys, these guys could be great somewhere else but they’re not a winning team as constructed. I’m really not sure there’s an untouchable on the nhl roster outside of Josh Morrisey.
