  1. I would still be worried about the Canes. They've looked like they're ready to go all the way, year after year after year. They're not different in the Leafs in that regard, other than getting an easier matchup in the first, and having a better built team for the 2nd round. They've gone to the Conference finals 3 times since they won the cup with Brind'amour as the captain and not the coach… and have yet to win a single game in the conference final since then either. That's 17 straight years without a single win past the 2nd round. I've personally felt the Canes are an overrated team this year, but if you were to ask me why, I don't know if I could really put my finger on it. Just my gut is all. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's just how it's felt to me.

Right now I put Florida and Rangers as above them in the East being #1 and #2 for how they've played. I think Carolina can beat either of those teams for sure… but will they is what I doubt. They don't look as hungry, and if they're not driven now, I'm worried they won't be able to before it's too late.

  2. I think the jets problems has honestly been coaching decisions, stanley should have never suited in the playoffs, ehlers should be playing with scheif and kc and toff and monhan with perfetti

  3. 4 players NEVER won a playoff series. Where is the supporting cast? When the opposition can shut down a Team by stopping 4 guys, the Team is in Trouble.

  4. Just insane how leafblowers think any team (who can actually afford it) would trade for any of those team breaking contracts for players who refuse to try play in the playoffs when games get real. (The bottom teams you "think" would trade for them only have a 30 mil cap, they would never use a third of their cap for one useless player, only toronto is d*mb enough to sign most of their cap for invisible players in the playoffs)

  5. As an Avs fan, Hellebuyck has been solid, hasn’t let by any softball shots except for 1, maybe 2. The guys in front are not helping at all. They are allowing us to weaponize the speed the first line has, our third line is getting under their skin. The biggest mistake the Jet’s defense is making constantly is they are ignoring Nichuskin and Lehkenen in order to better cover Rantanen, MacKinnon and Makar. The hungriest player the avs have is Parisi and they give him little attention too. They need to cover their man and keep their composure when the big guns have the puck.

  6. I was wondering if Toronto winning the first round would even be enough to keep Keefe and Shanahan employed. Especially, if Florida steamrolled them again. An unlikely comeback against Boston, especially one without the 69 goal man, might prevent the team from making necessary changes.

  7. are you planning to make a "what every team needs to do in the offseason" type video? Love the vids btw been subbed for a few years at this point

  8. Who wants marner at 11 million a year? His contract is up soon and he wants more than Nylander, the leafs would be crazy ro resign him for 12+ million. Is he worth mcdavid salary? No. Just let the year go by andet him and Tavares go, unless they will resign for a smaller salary.

  9. As a Tampa fan…I would’ve much rather Detroit make it over them because at least they’d make the series closer, fucking Tampa just completely shit on Vasy’s performance

  10. I will say the 1st round has been very underwhelming, the fact that if Vegas wins tonight 7 outta 8 series will be 3-1 that’s unfortunate and not fun to see. And the fact 90% of us predicted a Rangers Sweep and it actually happened is sad.

  11. I don't understand why everyone always acts like the Leafs are terrible for losing in the first round. Only 16 teams make it to the playoffs and only 8 teams make it to the second round. Even worse last year people made fun of them for losing in the second round… like honestly only 4 teams make it to the third round what do you want.

Additionally the Leafs play in a stacked division. Everyone year they start off against Tampa, the Bruins, or Florida. That's a difficult matchup for any team and it doesn't make the Leafs a bad team for losing against any of those.

I really don't understand hockey fans. It's like they think if their team isn't #1 out of 32 at any given moment their team is awful.

  12. very evident last year against Florida in the playoffs . Same issues again against Boston this year. When up against a physical team who plays good defense, forechecks well and battles along the boards for the puck. The leafs fluff four can't compete.

Until the leafs build a team to compete against Florida or Boston, which should be their primary objective. They better move out of the Atlantic division, otherwise expect the same results next year

  13. People has been saying the core 4 is done for the last 4 to 5 seasons and yet here we are same core same results, same excuses

  14. Nothing wrong with hellebuck… Jets clearly over performed and still not read to be a cup contender. Problem is no true #2 C, not enough offense on the blue line, should be playing a grinding game with how they are built…

    Trade marner
..been saying it for 3 years

Yezermen should be making big blockbuster trades. Must need a 1a,1b C. Ghost prob stays… 4mil for 5years

  15. Future Direction of the Capitals? Disappointing playoffs but this season has seen big jumps from guys like Strome, Lindgren, Fehervary, McMichael, LaPierre, Protas, Alexeyev, and Rookie HC Spencer Carbery

  16. Mitch wants to be traded he know they won’t pay him big bucks so he is on slow mode.
