Reviewing Stars vs Golden Knights Game Four

That was a bizarre game, but one that evened the series.

  1. Go Stars Go! I thought the Stars were dead after losing the first two at home. Now it's even and I like their chances. Keep it up, boys!

  2. Unfortunate that both these teams on paper are better than their teams last year yet only one will go to the SECOND ROUND and it’s been a way better series than the WCF last year. Last year it was evident that the Kraken tired Dallas out going into the WCF and it was too little too late come Game 6.

  3. Headscratcher of the game…2P, at the 17 minute mark. Stars get possession of the puck in the VGK end. Stars take the puck to the OZ blue line and dump the puck. Just give it away. VGK gets it, thank you, and starts a rush and scores about 8 seconds later…Would someone with a far more profound hockey mind than mine please explain to me why Dallas would do that. There was no shift change going on that I was aware of. Why would you waste a forward moving possession in the first place?…To me, this type of thing is not efficient playoff hockey. The end doesn't always justify the means. Dallas won. Yay. But these are the playoffs, and it's gaffes like this that get exploited by the better teams. On the whole, a good game – but yeah. Corrections need to be made…Oh, and last but not least. This is a prime example of the extra attacker fallacy. VGK held Thompson in until the last minute, then they pull him, puck gets intercepted, and it's target practice for Dallas. I really wish somebody with a math brain at the NHL level would do a statistical risk/benefit analysis of pulling the goalie. Yes, the Canucks made it work a game ago, but the success rate is under 10 percent I'm pretty sure. A simple spreadsheet would tell the story. Unfortunately I don't have access to the numbers to do it…

  4. Good game. Petro had a rough game though. Had an unnecessary penalty that cost them a goal and his turnover lead to Dallas’s 3rd goal. Maybe it’s time for Hutton to get some ice time. Stones line has been quiet since game one. Hopefully they come alive again in game 5. GKG

  5. ngl I kinda like the name popups. Unless the player's back happens to be to the camera I can't read the jersey number and with the constant line swaps I have a hard enough time keeping track of who's on the ice when with my own team, let alone another one I don't follow. The other graphics are rather obnoxious though.

  6. Johnston and Dellandrea were like a bee buzzing around your ear. You try to shoo him away to no avail. The Knights got stung.

  7. Haha i love how the entirety of every nhl fanbase is 100 percent united in the hatred of Vegas. Its the most united the nhl world will ever be lol

  8. I was going to throw the series loss to coach Pete not adapting play styles and lines. But game two proved to me that he’s got it figured out. The stars have plenty of talent to have swept the knights if coached correctly

  9. Man it really felt like losing this game would be losing the series as a whole. Really proud of how the stars played tonight, especially in the 3rd. Usually when we park the bus, it seemed to have always failed in games such as against Colorado earlier in the year. I was very impressed with how they did it in the 3rd against Vegas though. Absolute perfection and left Vegas very frustrated.

  10. I expected Dallas to win this series I expected series to be tied 2-2 but I did not expect for defending Champs or Dallas not winning a home through 4 games
