Ottawa was supposed to stay in the hunt for a playoff spot, but they never recovered after a rough start.

I'd say move to Utah … but …
i wanna like the sens
Making Korpisaelo a starter was their biggest mistake. He can be a decent back up playing 20 or 30 games, but not a starter.
they don't
What's worse? Being a Sens fan or a Leafs fan?
Welcome your new head coach, Sheldon Keefe.
Toronto should trade Mark Giordano to Ottawa.
Easy fix by sending Brady to NJ 😁
Sens better use the relocation of the Arizona Coyotes as their long-warranted wakeup call as to what can happen if teams are horrible for a long time. The leash will be even shorter considering it's a Canadian market. Alos fun fact: No other Canadian market has missed the playoffs for 7 season in a row since the 05 lockout. Let that sink in.
i dont feel bad "edit"since the most vocal "edit" sens fans talk alot of shit despite not achieving anything in the past 7 years
If anyone other than Berube is hired as head coach, I'm screaming into a pillow and staying like that all season…
Mitch Marrner for Jakob Chychrun plus others (prospects, picks, maybe Claude). At this point the Sens need a good regular season and getting into the playoffs and I believe Marner would help them accomplish such a task. Once they are there, all bets are off.
Are they gonna have to rebuild a rebuild? Seems to me that’s the territory they’re in what with the issues on the blue line and in net with a couple of bad contracts thrown in.
Arizona should forfeit the owned pick since they got relocated.
Ad a panthers fan I think the sens can turn things around by giving us brady tkachuk and letting him play with his brother.
They can hire Evason.
Get a goalie that can have over a .900 save percentage, a defensive dman on the right side, and Berube
They should def trade Brady to NJ.
A no-nonsense coach will turn this team around quickly.
I'm curious what Sens fans think of Brady as a captain. From the outside he seems too easy to neutralize at times by getting him riled up off the puck. Not saying it'd be like the Bruins giving Marchand the C back when he was licking guys, but he lives on the edge and I could see where it might annoy some fans while others love the passion.
I would say they need a number 1 goalie so bad its not even funny
giving up on Filip Gustavsson was the biggest mistake
and then not signing cam talbot killed them
and them trying to fix that with Korpisaelo also failed
so mabye a trade with the bruins would be a good idea
It’s easy to fix:
Step 1: Accept you need to rebuild, trade away best players on expiring deals, ideally getting young prospects/centers to build around.
Step 2: draft high, in the 3-5 range, hoping for a top 2 pick but preparing to not get that.
Step 3: use those picks to get a franchise winger and center, ideally one who could be captain material.
Step 4: by this point, young prospects should be good young players now, and your high draft picks will be great young stars. Now we need to fill out the roster with more veterans.
Step 5: trade for/sign a veteran player who is still good, maybe a captain from a rebuilding team who’s looking to go elsewhere. This will help mentor the younger core.
Step 5: acquire a legit defenseman via trade, be willing to trade a first/second round pick. Now you should have a solid top 3 d core.
Step 6: slightly overpay for a UFA goalie, because they’re tough to predict in the draft, and all high picks were used on forwards and maybe a defenseman or two.
I don’t see how you could do this and still miss the playoffs.
The highlight of their season was an empty net goal. Bless 'em.
Get a goalie.
Run it back , the boys are growing
They need to change the culture DJ smith built I think Martin did a good job of it and a good coach next season will hopefully get them on the right track
Trade Norris when he shows a semblance of health
Thanks for giving our horrendous team some attention. I still believe 😢
Can’t wait for him to get to the Wings, though they will be last non playoff team covered
ooh this team is in trouble for the next 4 seasons. Im predicting it now. The issue is by then will there be any fans watching this team? They cant do anything big for changes thanks to Dorion and Melnyk. Dorion should have never blown the core up completely from 2016. If they didnt, your top line could have been Tkachuk/Zibanejad/Stone. Second line could have had Grieg(or any other veteran left winger) / Pinto / Batherson. Imagine Chabot still with Demelo, and Sanderson with Karlsson? In goal, wouldnt even matter. All this could have happened if they would have stayed the course and built through the draft. Instead, Dorion blew it all up.
Their goaltending is a big problem, and goalies are a hot commodity in the NHL. If I were their GM, I would have to take a risk on an unproven or cheaper goalie I can afford and expect some progress from all the young guys.
Get Stamkos.
I'm still not expecting anything for another 2 years tbh
They need to trade Brady to FL 50% retained for a 3rd and 4th
I wouldnt mind Detroit picking up Kubalic again for an upgrade for Fabbri or Sprong if need be. Just saying he was decent for us last year and knows our system
Lassi Thompson is Anaheim Ducks property
Autopsy time of the season
I think the most important thing Shannon wants us to understand from this video is that nothing will surprise him.
