Hogan's body movements were amazing. Crazy he nearly died, then came back to đ status afterwards… If we ever compared đŻ to anyone, this would be the man đȘ
Serious question: If Hogan was playing today, would he be able to hit as far as the top players today? Is a guy like Rory have better mechanics than Hogan or is it all equipment. Take it easy on me, keyboard warriors. I'm genuinely interested. I play golf when i can, but i know nothing about swing dynamics.
I swear I have no idea why anyone in this day and age would go back to Hogan. First off he's all hands by necessity after the accident and no one teaches a hands move anymore, then there's all the crazy timing moves. There's about a hundred and they're all crazy idiosyncratic, because he's still got the buggy-whip hickory action in there and had to figure out how to do that with a lead pipe.
Wee ice monâŠthe Scots called him⊠Smaller man that played like a giant, my first swing book was â5 Modern Lessonsâ But as a taller golfer , not all the lessons were good for me. Hoganâs grip was neutral to weak, because he feared the duck hook. Get lessons that fit YOU.
I see and hear alot of ignorant comments, fundamentals, that's what Ben Hogan did, execute fundamentals, load, sit, release. You don't have to see the shot,Ben Hogan hit fairways and greens,at a rate never seen before or after. The reason Hogan won majors at the % he did be was because the more pressure you put on a good swing, the better it gets. Hogan played the last four years with no major veins in his legs,it took two hours to wrap his legs,he won 6 Majors during that stretch. Please don't mention Rory in the same sentence as Hogan, you'll remove all doubt
You just described what is in John Jacobs " Practical Golf " / David Lee " Gravity Golf " / George Knudsen " The Swing Motion " – said in the books in slightly different ways. In my Opinion David Lee said it best.

Ceeentering?? đ
Straight line forces.
Amazing torque!
I wonder why he was never nicknamed âHulk Hoganâ? He was a beast on the links, youâd think someone would have thought of this!
Notice how much he shifts his head back. Very different from today's teachings. Interesting.
If you knew what he was doing you could do it
Dont get caught up in shift his turn is creating this. On both side of the ball
I was waiting to see the shot?!
Trevino got them dancin feet
No Stack and Block in that move.
Hogan was right; Mickey Wright had the best golf swing.
Many ways to hit a golf ball
Donât over analyze it or u will forever b stuck n ur own head

I think heâs imitating the point of impact with the knee bent
you never even let us see the whole swing!!!
Load, sit, release,it's not as tough as people make it
If you can understand all that you have a good chance at hitting it good.
Only thing about analyzing one swing is you don't know if it was a good shot. If you showed this to Hogan, he might have said it was a crappy swing.
I'm sure he's not thinking
This is like John Madden drawing a dick on an offensive line
blah blah blah
OMP move
Too much bullshit. Show me the swing. His back shift is minimized. You seem to overemphasize it.
What the hell was even that?
Wee ice monâŠthe Scots called himâŠ

God forbid you show the full swing. Had to squeeze in another few seconds of you yapping without pause.
Nlah blah blah.

NO ONE ever talks about the fact he is way over parallel , aka john daly, that club almost hits im in the left hip!, gott have soft wrist for that.
This is what I been looking for. Thanks for the upload.
Grateful Aussie.
Been struggling like crazy coach of late. Came across this few days ago.
Had my best shift on the range in a long time. My hits were pure.
Right knee kicking in
The right shift few inches.
Right hip going up.
Club goes up – weight goes left
Fully loaded – let rip
Kicking that right knee at address is a game changer for me.
If you think more about the body instead of the ball it makes everything easier
Jesus god. Finish the swing.
Nothing like ruining the video by writing all over it now over it
Never got to see the swing bruhđđ. đ€·ââïž
This swing looks much different than his later swings. I prefer the later shorter more compact swing
best swing ever, that snap
"Those lines I saw drawn on a YT video made me a better golfer" said no one ever.
Grip is essential Hogan's grip is what made him the best ball striker ever it is golf's best kept secret. Hand's working together.
Hogans clubs were 2deg open and 2 deg flat. Could fully release without going left
First move is his head moving away from target. Sets everything in motion. So much for keeping your head stillâŠ
God. Not getting the full swing was like a ruined orgasm.
If i could hit like Mr. Hogan i would not need you golf videos??????? đđđ
