Surprised Joseph Woll stood on his head in Game 5?

Are we surprised Joseph Woll stood on his head in Game 5? How impressive was Matthew Knies performance on Tuesday night? Do you get a sense Auston Matthews could play Game 6? Chris Johnston and Mark Masters join SC with Jay Onrait to discuss all things Leafs-Bruins.

  1. I don't think he stole the game or "stood on his head", I think he was rock solid and made big saves when needed which is exactly what they've needed all series long

  2. Maybe Leafs management can learn from this. Give the kids a chance to play, they don't always need 7 years in the minors to be NHL ready. This kid is ready to take the reigns.

  3. Pretty sad that 2 recently drafted players help to push the Leafs thru to game 6! Meanwhile the 4 stooges are no where to be found! Especially Mr 34 … he may play game 6 … cmon stop crying and rally to help team and stop making excuses! Same bs for 7 yrs now. I don't care if you score a 100 goals during regular season this is the playoffs baby and to time to whine about little aches and pains!

  4. Sheldon Keefe wasn’t afraid to pull Samsonov in favour of Woll to change the dynamics whereas facing elimination, the Jets head coach stubbornly stuck with Hellebuyck who couldn’t stop a beachball.

  5. Sure wish the Leafs would play that “ team “ game with Matthews in the lineup instead of focusing on feeding 34 all the time. I dunno, they just play differently.

  6. Media selling Leaf "Hopeium". It's 1 game folks. They haven't played well overall. 1 game isn't going to win over the Leaf fans now turned disgruntled and skeptical. And rightly so! Leafs are 8 yr under achievers.

  7. Most backup goalies can steal a game from time to time, but let's see him steal 3 in a row. The Leafs are only delaying the inevitable, but maybe if we're all lucky they'll think making it to 6 or 7 games again this year will convince them to try it all again next year and fail like they've done the past 7 years.

  8. Joseph Woll is the goalie who they drafted to be their future main guy in the 2016 draft, he probably should have started this series in game 1 tbh.
