How did Stuart Skinner look in the first round?

Jay Onrait was joined by Oilers reporter Ryan Rishaug and TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun to get their thoughts on the Oilers’ special teams’ dominance in the first round against the Kings, how netminder Stuart Skinner performed, the depth Edmonton showed, and more after their series-clinching victory.

  1. So so. He improved as it went along though.

The 2 goals after the powerplay were just the Oilers waiting until the penalty was over so all these whiny people wouldn't claim it's the only thing the Oilers can do or that the refs decided the result….

  2. “Skinner” is the only area in my eyes that hurt the Oilers.
I truly hope he “SHINES” in round 2!

  3. At least 50% of the kings goals were crazy bounces all series. Whether it be skates or half boards or the likes.

  4. The first goal yesterday when Stew was out of position was the only gaff from him.
And that was from a wanky bounce…😊

  5. Skinner already has a highlight Reel of Bloopers and its only been 5 games. We all know the Oilers are a PP Merchant Team and just outscore his crappy play. It will burn them now. The Kings were the set-up Club, now the Booms coming down. Get real I expect more from Professional Analysts…9 or 11 if you count the 2 tweeners freaking PP goals and a Blooper Reel of questionable goals and I see these 2 Clowns trying to say Skinners somehow turned the corner…good thing these arent Radio guys they are full of crap.

  6. Firepower will overcome the odd soft goal, but with even average goalkeeping the sky is the limit with this roster. Don’t forget Jack is ready right behind Calvin

  7. LA got 2 goals off EDM skates, one off a stanchion (cue Steve Dangle), and one off of an exploded stick…

    He had one bad game.

He did his job this series.

  8. Power play is just unfair. Game 1 they were using hyman. Game 3 was everyone. Game 4 was bouchard. Game 5 was draisaitl. With mcdavid every game.
