Haha have expressed interest in demidov since before last year’s draft. I have no doubt they’d pick him of he were available at 5. Same can’t be said of michkov and I believe carton will absolutely not be drafted by us

Do we really feel he will be gone by the time we draft? Wingers and Russians historically fall in the draft. I think there is certainly a possibility he is there at 5 (if we indeed draft there).

It’s like a complete repeat of last year. Was funny though a bit after all that we actually passed on the guy people were obsessed with and overall was a “better” prospect by all accounts idk. I’m fine with the passing but basically don’t get obsessed over a 17/18 year old. Nobody knows how they will turn out let alone someone playing against very very weak competition.

I was not into Michkov last year but I’m very much into Demidov this year. If we pick at 2, he’s my guy.

It’s great that the fanbase have learnt their lesson and this time will not over-obsess over a prospect and then harass our actual draft pick if we happen to choose someone else.

Someone recently posted that he’s had knee issues this season. Two injuries to the same knee.
How bad is the knee? Is it the same knee? Always tough to know what’s what with Russian prospects.
