Its funny how so many people unironically predicted a game 7 OT loss.
This team is cursed.

As soon as Samsonov was announced as the goalie, it was over.

Deep down we all knew it would go down like this.

They didn’t blow game 7, casual hockey fan

Tens of thousands of fans, one of these spicy hot takes has gotta be pinpoint accurate somehow.

I am a loser for supporting this joke of a franchise.

I see you’ve watched the Leafs before

We’ll always have that 1min 20 seconds of happiness and hope. Then Keefe ran out the fourth line after a goal like he always does.

Here I am, unsurprised fan.
Two years ago, I watched every game. I was excited for each and every time they took the ice. Holy shit they almost won it but a pick kept them taking lead. Well, next year we’re going to get them!
Last year, they made steps forward, I enjoyed the season and still watched every game. Playoff came around and I felt they made a huge leap by beating Tampa. And then against Florida those same habits creeped in, where they lacked any compete or effort for a seemingly healthy team.
This year, I was just less interested. Up and down season where the effort was questionable. I recorded or watched streams, I didn’t make time to actually care to watch the games. The result? Kinda what I put into them – I fell asleep for a lot of them.
Now? MLSE will be lucky to get my attention unless big changes happen. Running it back isn’t an option, or I’m out.

lol. I called this my brother in law called.it, nephew called it. Anyone who watches the Leafs the last decade predicted this exact thing. Though I maintain if Woll plays last.night we win. We’re also cursed.

Never in my life would I have thought that my NFL team, the Detroit Lions would have a better chance at winning a championship in my lifetime than the Leafs.
