what a shame, right when their fans would actually buy them

  2. Hockey-Daily

They also took down the “Habs lost” website

Their gimmicks are low key embarrassing

  3. HinduKussy

Carolina is so fuckin cringy. I cheer for their downfall.

  4. Their marketing department is doing their fans dirty. If I am a Canes season ticket holder, I’m calling and asking that they cut the crap, because the fans are the ones that take all the heat for these ridiculous antics that have nothing to do with the team on the ice.

Why/ what was this shirt all about? Their bitch asses should have left it up to

  6. Bad_Karma19

They are changing them to crying towels for their fans.

  7. I mean what did they expect? They had a dude posting 9/11 memes to rag on the Isles and the hockey gods are not kind.

Need to throw on the Whalers sweaters like the second D2 movie.

    Buncha jerks…

But Go Canes because I still wanna see Burns get a Cup.

The Canes have been cringe for years. Duck duck goose at center ice? Embarrassing.

I want to believe it’s because they sold out, but it’s also possible the fans saw the Canes’ power play and had this reaction. Except me, I just start looking to see what the prices on Carolina Mudcats and Durham Bulls tickets are.

  12. Canes are good, but not good enough for the shit their media department puts out lol

  13. jakovichontwitch

Rangers have the chance to do the funniest thing

  14. Carolina_913

As soon as they posted this shit I knew it was over. Absolute textbook definition of bad juju

I don’t mind our team having fun and I don’t mind the marketing team doing their thing either, but at some point you need to take a step back and think “is this *really* a good idea?”

I hated they even did this.

It was poor sportsmanship and definitely set us up to be trolled like no tomorrow if we didn’t win the cup.

    Stupid idea.

They’re such a shit franchise. It’s good to see Reddit finally coming around to see that.

As a huge hockey fan who has lived in Raleigh for 15 years now, I’ve had trouble adopting the Canes as a second team largely because of this kind of stuff. The marketing and the petty social media stuff has driven me away from being a fan, not reeled me in. They really aren’t doing themselves any favors by behaving like a rebellious teenager.
