I went to the game last night. It was the first one I’ve been to all season. Got pumped up on the train ride over, had fun wandering around the arena pregame, had a blast during the game, was wondering to myself why I hadn’t made the time to go to more games this season…
then I got on the TRE to go all the way back to Fort Worth and it didn’t leave until basically midnight and I didn’t get home until like 1:15 and my alarm was set for 5am, and oh, I remember why I don’t do this much anymore.

I’m a long time casual hockey fan. Why don’t guys seem to check or hit as much anymore? You used to see guys get hit shortly after passing the puck and it almost never happens anymore.

I hope we have a better strategy to contain the Avs offense tomorrow night. Gotta pick up at least one of these road games and get home ice back.
I’d like to see us take the next two but that feels hopeful. They’re a good team. They’re not gonna go down easily

I’m a freelancer so I took on a lighter workload for the last few months while we got used to having my MIL here while she recovers from a stroke. She’s made huge improvements and we have settled into a good rhythm and my primary client has been asking when I can take on more work so I took on a few big projects but all I want to do is talk about playoff hockey. Why is my life so haaaaaard? I’m also super tired after all these late night games. I already told my husband all I want for Mother’s Day is to sleep in this weekend.

For those with a better eye for hockey tactics, i know we like to blame turtling for the almost blowing two 3+ goal leads, but is it really turtling? Or is it when COL goes full out all out attack, desperation mode, it is very hard to contain and all that can really be done is defend heavy?

We can score on them, that’s not in question. We cannot turtle or try and defend a lead. We need 3 periods of attack.

Colorado fans saying they are guaranteed to win the next two because of the altitude. That is so overblown. These are world class athletes. It may affect them a little but it isn’t game changing
