  1. Nice that you explain what some of this stuff in these maps actually means instead of just circling squares and assuming everybody already knows. Kudos. I'm actually learning some things here.

  2. The Gi makes things so slow and non eventful.

I would much rather watch him take on the 174# champ from Penn state

While Uber talented, 2 guys grabbing each others 🫣 bathrobes

  3. How is this even a practical martial art? Its equivalent to a snake mating ritual, more than an efficient self defense.

  4. The gi really ruins this sport

The submissions make sense. The gi just introduces the strangest and most unrealistic element.

No gi is the only way to go.

  5. As a judoka, it’s weird to see them not get stood up and asked to neaten up their gi’s but honestly I’m conflicted.

On one hand they should be stood up and asked to do their belt and such as it would make things more fair from a gi stand point; they have the same gi setup.

On the other hand I kinda like the idea of not having them stood up to fix their gi’s as this would ruin the flow of the fight and some people might intentionally pull their gi out to get out of a bad situation maybe.

Lotta things to consider and a fantastic fight nonetheless. Never really liked ground work before I watched this but honestly I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and, even though I’m terrible on the ground, I was still able to appreciate the intricacies of what each player was trying to do.

Fantastic work, can’t wait to see where the IBJJF goes in years to come.

  6. This is the first Brazilian jiu-jitsu I've ever seen. It's super cool I like it. Also, it's apparent to me immediately that in this sport, it's beneficial if you don't have testes.

  7. This is why gi is so ugly and boring. At this level, all you have to do is grab onto something and it will have a huge impact on your opponent's movements. Basically just blocking.

  8. I feel like Kade's hair throws people off sometimes, like you think you've got his head but it's really his hair 😂😂😂

  9. wtf did i just watch, how are they scoring points, bunch of boys wrastlin around pulling each others clothes
