  1. Thank you for getting these highlights up in a more timely manner tonight, good win for the Bravos and solid performance from uncle Charlie tonight, Braves played long ball and it was great to finally see Matt Olson break out of his HR slump, hopefully that will get him jump started, congrats to Raisel Iglesias on his 200th save although he gave me a scare in the Bottom 9th but they held on, GO BRAVES!!!!!!

  2. Notes from the Game:

+ Charlie Morton was CHUCK-NASTY Tonight! 7 Innings of 1-Run, 3-Hit Ball, Walking 1 and Striking Out 7 en route to VICTORY! Morton Improves to 3-0 with an ERA of 3.14! A FANTASTIC RESULT!

+ A.J. Minter and Rasiel Iglesias Finished the Job Tonight. Minter Struck Out the Side in a PERFECT 8th, while Iglasias had to earn his 200th Career Save the Hard Way: Allowing 1 Run on 1 Walk and 1 Hit.

ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 2 Runs, 4 Hits, 2 Walks, 10 Strike Outs, 1 Home Run Allowed.

Despite a 1-5 Night with Runners in Scoring Position, the Braves Only Needed ONE INNING to BURY the Mets Tonight!

+ Leave it to the CURRENT MVP to Start the FIREWORKS SHOW! 1-5 with a 461 foot SUPER MISSILE that SOARED Over the Rotting Apple in Center! Acuna Stands in with .259 Average, .731 OPS, and 3 Home Runs on the Year!

+ THE OZ-MAN WOULD FOLLOW IT UP WITH A SUPER MISSILE OF HIS OWN! He'd also Walk later on, finishing 1-3. Albies stands firm with .291 Average, .816 OPS, and 3 Homers this Season!

+ FINALLY! MATTY-O GETS ONE! 1-4 with a TWO-RUN SUPER MISSILE INTOTHEBULLPEN! Olson steps up to a .202 Average, .683 OPS, and 4 Home Runs So Far this Year!

+ OTHER NOTABLES: Ozuna, Duvall, and d'Arnaud Managed 1 Hit Each Tonight, while Albies, Riley, Duvall and d'Arnaud Managed 1 Walk on the Night. Michael Harris II and Orlando Arcia though had 0-4 Nights with 1 K.

+ A CRUCIAL, TEXTBOOK VICTORY TO KICK-OPEN THE OPENING SERIES AGAINST THE METS! Morton was FANTASTIC, The Bullpen was Good, the Defense was SOLID, and the Offense did ALL of its DAMAGE in the 3rd! Gotta Get those Wins HOWEVER YOU CAN!

    – Unfortunately, Everyone Else Except Miami Won tonight, which keeps the Braves 2 Games Behind Philadelphia, While Allowing the Nationals to Jump Up to 3rd Place, putting them 5 Games Behind, with the Mets Behind by 6 and 15 1/2 Respectively.

    TOMORROW:

ROUND 2 OF 3 Between the Braves and Mets will take place under the Afternoon Skies of Citi Field. Christian Scott, The Mets #5 Prospect, will step up to the Rubber, Coming off a Debut where he earned a No Decision, Allowing 1 Run on 5 Hits, Walking 1 and Striking Out 6 over 6 2/3 Innings of Work.

Meanwhile, MAX FRIED will take up Battle Stations for the Braves, Who's coming off an Unfortunate, but Strong Outing against the Dodgers, where he took the Loss despite going 7 Innings and Allowing 4 Runs on 4 Hits, Walking 3 and Striking Out 7.

Can FRIED and the Braves Make it Four-in-a-Row and Earn Another CRUCIAL Series Win?

Or will Scott and the Mets Find Some Way to Show Something?

We Will find out at 4:10 P.M. EDT on SNY (Mets), Bally Sports Southeast (Braves), and FS1 (National)!

    SoundFX09, Signing Out!

  3. Contact play with Alonso on third. Is Aaron Boone managing the Mets? I thought my teams manager was the only one who would try that unnecessary gamble lol

  4. Another win for the Braves! I do however gotta give credit where credit is due. Yohan Ramirez threw some absolute filth for the Mets in that inning.

Also when I tried typing in Yohan, my tablet kept trying to auto-correct it to Gohan.

  5. I am a metropolitan but got to give credit to Morton, 96 with 40 years, 7 innings one run impressive!!!! But i hope we win today at 4pm, we need wins!!!! Go metss!!!!!

  6. The braves are nowhere near the Phillies as far as talent and overall team quality, but they may stay out of the cellar.

  7. Bravos still look so/so offensively. They shouldn’t be struggling like this. I can’t wait until Murphy returns.

  8. Pete Alonso's legs fly all over the place when he runs. That play at the play he should have steamrolled D'Arnaud.

  9. I’m glad they lost the no hitter. I’m sick of today’s game of routinely taking out pitchers with intact gems even if they have a good lead, low pitch count and showing no signs of significant fatigue. There is absolutely no heart in the game anymore. Nobody wants to rise up for the moment. Players are nothing but emotionless, sterile pieces on a game board waiting til the algorithm dictates where to move them. There is no historical heroics anymore.
