They become such a desperate one line team when they get frustrated.

Yes they’re extremely top heavy. Built the same way as the Oilers.

One line team.

Honestly, as much as my butt puckers when 4 out of those 5 are on the ice, I hope they keep trying to force like this. I think their 3rd/4th lines have actually been really dangerous at times and they should probably rely on them more to establish prolonged forechecks. I mean, why go out and get so many big dudes for that purpose if you don’t actually do it?
Kivi, Wood, and Duhaime specifically have all had a pretty good series. It’s wild to me that they sit on them so much.

This is how Dallas will win games against Colorado. Reminding everyone that they had 4 players with 20 goals or more during the regular season. The Stars had 8. Colorado is a 1.5 line team. This is very similar to the late 90s early 2000s Colorado teams. Shut down that top line and get depth scoring and you have a chance.

Pros: I feel fairly relaxed when 3 out of 4 Avs lines are on the ice Cons: The 1 other line is on the ice for nearly 50% of the game

I thought MacKinnon played the whole game according to TNT.

Dallas doesn’t even have “lines”, it’s just one big freaking unit that just keeps coming in continuous waves where some waves a little more “umph” than others but waves nonetheless. It’s great and I’m loving every single minute of it.

Apparently their coach is not worried about over use causing injuries. That’s insane, at least our team swaps out every so often to allow for “recovery time.” I’ll be honest. I was surprised I saw as much of Wyatt last night as I did.

Avg. Time on Ice for the [playoffs](https://www.espn.com/nhl/stats/player/_/table/general/sort/timeOnIcePerGame/dir/desc)
Top 5 Forwards: Trocheck (NYR), MacKinnon (COL), Rantanen (COL), O’Reilly (NSH), Nichushkin (COL)
This seems like a good plan…
