Saros is 29 yrs. old … If Marner is traded it should be for a young stud defenseman plus two 1st. Tavares is holding the Leafs back.
No matter what – a Leafs rehabilitation plan for Marner would be in everyone’s best interests.
If Marner gets traded – like Kessel and Kadri – Mitch with a real Stanley Cup might win a championship- something Marner likely knows just won’t happen with the Leafs Core 4.

If Marner wants to waive his no movement clause then clearly he wants to move on and I don't think that's the case, and the Preadators said they will do whatever it takes to keep Saros so i doubt that the Leafs will get him.

Saros is a good goalie and the cap space in return would really help too. I would trade marner straight up for Saros today.. People need to understand the Leafs are not going to get 2 stud defencemen for a guy on an expiring contract. I think the Leafs need to shore up a goalie before they do anything else anyways.
