    Christ I’m old.

Fun fact, I was watching the games at my buddy’s house and after the third game he threw his hat in frustration and we left it there. We kept it there the rest of the playoffs, so it was really that hat that propelled us to the stanley cup

As someone who wasn’t alive during the two cup wins, this was my favorite flyers run ever. That series and in particular game 7 coming back 3-0 series 3-0 game is my favorite flyers game ever!

I’m rooting hard for CAR in their series vs NYR…feels like they could’ve won any of those first 3 games they lost, similar to how we fell into a 3-0 hole.

  4. Watched this game with three of my buddies and across the bar sat three Bruins fans. Each group bought a round for the other group after each goal. After the game they bought us fruity drinks with umbrellas, said fuck you and left. Cheers losers🍹🍹🍹

  5. If we had won the Cup that run would have been one of the greatest in NHL history. Getting in against the Rangers with the last game, all the goalie switches, that Boston series. Damnit, I still see that Kane shot in my nightmares.

Still salty that year didn’t end with a cup. Would have been the perfect ending to that 2nd round story

I was at the game in Boston. They were PISSED after that one.

  8. Not only came back from being down three games to none in the series, but came back from a 3-0 deficit in game 7.

That team obviously didn’t win the Cup, but I’ll always remember them fondly for inflicting one of the most painful, humiliating losses in sports history on a Boston team and their miserable, arrogant fanbase.

Simon Gagne came back in game 4 and he killed it that series
