Mathieu Schneider hit on Paul Kariya

Does anyone remember this hit that happened in November of 1996? No evidence of it seems to be on the internet. Can anyone explain in more detail the play and how it unfolded?

Here is the article I found on it.

The National Hockey League Thursday suspended Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Mathieu Schneider, pending a hearing on Friday, for a flagrant elbow on Paul Kariya in Wednesday's 3- 2 loss to Anaheim. The elbow against Kariya occurred late in the first period.

Kariya was setting up a play near the top of the slot when Schneider connected with an elbow to the face, sending Kariya to the ice. Kariya was diagnosed with a mild concussion and will stay in California for Anaheim's two road games this weekend. He stayed overnight at Anaheim Memorial Hospital for observation and precaution. Schneider, who didn't receive a penalty for on the play, has three goals and six assists with eight penalty minutes in 17 games this year.

I’ll never forget it. That along with the Suter crosscheck to the head put Kariya out of the Nagano Olympics. As a huge Might Ducks loving Canadian, both players have been on my enemy list ever since, even when Schneider played for us later in his career.
