How will Boeser’s absence affect Canucks’ Game 7 lineup?

TSN Canucks reporter Farhan Lalji and TSN Oilers reporter Ryan Rishaug join SC with Jay Onrait to discuss how Brock Boeser not playing in Game 7 will affect both the Canucks and Oilers as they look to advance to the Western Conference Final.

  1. The Canucks will have to play their best game of the post season if they want to win. Not having Boeser is a big loss but you still can’t underestimate the Canucks. They’re a dangerous team and if EDM doesn’t take them seriously they could be in trouble.

  2. We need a goal from Pettersson and Hughes tomorrow night, both have been terrible when it comes to goal scoring.

  3. Hughes – Miller – Pettersson
    Joshua – Lindholm – Garland
    Suter – Blueger – Lafferty
    Hoglander – Aman – Karlsson

    Soucy – Hronek
    Zadorov – Myers
    Cole – Juulsen

Fuck it, let’s go crazy. Move Hughes to forward and give the mafia line some play. Put the big guys together and let them crush the opposition. YOLO. lol jk

But honestly, I have no idea how we will make this work… We could give Lekkerimaki a shot, but where do you put him?? Can’t be the top line, it’s too much pressure for a young player. Or maybe they just slot Mikheyev in some random spot and watch him stink it all up… Or they could load the top line with Lindholm, Miller and Pettersson, but then we have no depth for the rest of the line up. Chances are we go the safe route and place Lindholm with Joshua and Garland. Leave Suter with Miller and move Petey up. But then our bottom lines seem bare.. The only idea from above I’d actually like to try (and have wanted to for a while) is the Hoglander, Aman, Karlsson line.

  4. Canucks have not won a Game 7 since 2011? Of course, we haven't made the playoffs for years. Wishing Brock a quick recovery!

  5. Farhan is already predicting they'll make it to the next round?
If the Canucks lose…the fans will have plenty of excuses…Demko was out, Pettersen was having issues, now Boeser is done…

  6. Not having Boeser is going to be the viable excuse as to why Vancouver couldn't beat the Oilers . ESPN already slotted in the Oilers vs. Dallas, so we'll see if that was an accident or an accurate prediction. It won't matter either way as Dallas is a better team than both . Dallas vs. Florida in the finals . I want to say Dallas in 6 , but the Panthers are no pushovers this year .

  7. Petterson will need to step up and ride with Miller!?!

  8. No, no, no, no, NO! It is NOT a problem to replace Boeser! There are PLENTY of Canucks who can step up for what, after all, is only 1 game. It could almost be anybody! Joshua, Zadorov, Lindholm, Petey for a couple at least, Miller, Soucy, Garland, Hoglander, I mean, COME ON! If even half of them score we will win so stop with the hand-wringing – it's contemptible. Have saome cahones – we will find a way!! Deadmonton Leaking Oil only has a few players who can do much of anything. Canucks in 7.
