I’m good with him. I think he’s been in the spotlight (last year at this time, folks had him near to Celibrini) for long enough he gets torn apart. He’s the best goal scorer in the draft, has good size, and is on the young side of the draft.
I good coach will need to get more defensive effort from him, but to some extent, this kind of goal scorer will usually cheat a bit on that side of the puck, so they’re ready to get up ice quickly.

As a completely biased Flames fan, I agree with you completely. He was so good in the U-18s. He’s definitely an elite talent who has the highest ceiling in the draft outside of Celebrini and Demidov. There’s a 50%+ chance that everyone who passed on him in the top 10 will be kicking themselves 5 years down the line.
I hope somebody does take him early so the Flames don’t have to regret not taking him at 9.

I’d take Eiserman for sure!…if we traded back for him and accumulated more assets in the process.
He’s way too risky of a player to take 4th overall, but the offensive upside at least intrigues me. If we go forward 4th overall I’d have him below Demidov, Lindstrom, Catton, Helenius, and even Iginla for sure though.

I just don’t think this franchise in the position right now to take this type of risk, no matter how tempting. I’ve got two words for ya: Nikita Filatov

No, I won’t hear you out.
I would hear him out at 14 or 15
