He needs to come into camp stronger and heavier. He has to start showing progress in that part of his game. If he can't take that next step, he needs to be moved before his NMC kicks in.
He actually was one of the better players tonight. I think this learning lesson for Petey is HUGE. Get him some line-mates that complement him next season and look out 👀

petty played great post season, just not offensively, although he did play with third liners mostly and the canucks got shut down on offense big time, especially by nashville. all playoffs miller and hughes were shut down for the most part.. can't give petty crap; he was the reason we won game 6 and his back checking was almost auston matthews quality. I really hope they get rid of cole who made the most mistakes and took the dumbest penalties at the worst times and lafferty who does absolutely nothing. hronek isn't great either for the most part, ices the puck and gives it away, he's just not a smart player. nice goal tonight for him but besides that it's a waste of cap space. he had decent points this season for a defensemen but doesn't mean anything when he's giving more points away. lindholm was great in the playoffs, but we gave so much away for him to once again try a fairy tale run at the cup. it doesn't really seem to matter what management or coaching staff we have, they always do this. I feel for the guys that really tried and you could see especially in miller and hughes by the end of the game they were just worn out, gassed and defeated. miller's hair is soaked like 3 min into the game he tries so hard. a big shame, but they're on the right path for next season. let's just hope dallas sweeps these scumbags; like anyone wants smug mcdavid to win and draisitl getting away with dirty plays all day long while the refs look the other way. no one likes the oilers, they're the new bruins. the reffing was just a joke as usual; hail gary bettman.
