Who are the Islanders top prospects now?

With Aatu Räty traded to the Vancouver Canucks, who is the New York Islanders top prospect? Who’s the top 5? What about the top 10?

And what does this trade mean for the Islanders prospect pool?

  1. Dude! You made it to a thousand!!!!!! THUMBNAIL FONT IS BIGGER (which is great, but you could actually go bigger, and less descriptive), but ditch the background! too busy. Great stuff, great videos, love the insights.

  2. Iskhakov kind reminds of me of Grabovski in all of the coolest and best ways. I hope he gets a shot at some point.

  3. Mich, your videos are great. But the way you pronounce names is simultaneously impressive and nauseating.

  4. What are your thoughts on Daylan Kuefler. In a way his style of play reminds me of Anders Lee. He is an elite net front presence in the WHL and has physical side to his game (but is an over ager) but isn’t a play driver or a particularly good skater. For me I need to see him play against men to judge if his skills will translate at the next level.

  5. I took some time to watch a majority of Maggio’s goals. My god can that kid shoot, snipes goals consistently from outside the dots. He knows how to protect the puck when driving to the net.

I do question how he handles a more physical game and a game where he has to be more careful about leaving the Dzone early. But considering he is only 2 months older than Dufour was last year I have high hopes for his development as a potential top 6 scorer going forward.

  6. True we traded our top prospect but good chance Horvat signs. Holmstrom and Ishakov are more slated for the bottom lines which need the depth due to ageing. Team has to make the playoffs plus the bottom six depth needs to endure hopefully more than one round.
