  1. Oilers coaching are to blame 100% for getting knocked out of the playoffs tonight. you can't roll one line and expect positive results. McDavid & Draisaitl look exhausted and were non factors in game 5 and Oilers fans shouldn't expect anything more tonight. This Oilers team like the Leafs are simply not built for playoff success, too much salary concentrated in too few players leading to no depth.
Oilers are leaps and bounds closer to a full rebuild than they are to a championship.

  2. No Calvin’s tonight for Knob, just Skin. Would Woody have picked Pickard to protect his private parts? We’ll never know. Either way, this is going to be quite the showdown…

  3. Just need Stu to make a few saves early and get into the flow. I felt Pickard played well enough to get the start tonight. But, I'm not the coach.

  4. I actually feel bad for Skinner. He had a horrible start to the year and it could be an equally awful ending. As a Canucks fan I obviously don't want him to win but I do hope he plays well and gains the confidence of some of his fans back.

  5. One other thing I will say. As a player having a coach that believes in you can do wonders You want to prove them right and reward their loyalty. A few examples from recent Canucks history. Nikita Zadorov coming into this run with Vancouver was known as a talented but inconsistent NHL Defensemen that made bonehead plays. The last half of the season and in the playoffs he's been all world for Vancouver. When asked what the difference was he said well it's just nice to have a coach that believes in me for once. Dakota Joshua was a fringe NHLer and under Tocchet he's become one of the heart and soul pieces of this Canucks team. JT Miller was known as a hot head one dimensional offensive player who took bad penalties and was a lazy defensive player. This year he's evolved into a leader and one of the best 2 way power forwards/shut down players in hockey. Just ask Connor McDavid. As a Canucks fan I'm nervous. Belief is a powerful thing. Skinner will do his utmost to reward that belief. And he may also be fighting hard to save his career in Edmonton.

  6. Edmonton is trying to kill Skinners career. He already has the worst save percentage in team playoff history. He has the worst save percentage of any NHL playoff goalie in 20 yrs. I guess the Oilers want to try & make him the worst NHL playoff goalie ever. Not starting Skinner is an act of mercy Seems like they are setting him up for failure… so they can wish him into the cornfield like all their other McDavid era goalies.

  7. imagien this is the beauty of these Oilers, they usually find a way to lose the game : ) Obviously, it is not over till it is over. But it seems it is All over before it even begins : ) The Third Miracle?

  8. Anxious Canucks fan here. Skinner may steal you a game tonight! I think the Oilers stars are tired tho. Showed last game but playing in front of the home crowd should give you a little pep. I hope Vancouver puts it away tonight but it’s all possible in the playoffs.
BTW, you should be passionate about your team, just as we are. Two passionate fan bases that if you look on the mirror (with the exception of a few horrid people) were the same- we literally love our teams that much. Best of luck, GO CANUCKS GO!!❤🐕❤🐕

  9. Goalie controversy in Edmonton? Who didn’t see this coming? Oilers need a major upgrade in net but can’t do anything cause they’ll against the cap. The only way to get there is part with one of their precious core pieces.l. Monkey won’t let go of the cookie to get their hand out of the jar. Skinner is your goalie for life.
