BOSTON — The Panthers rallied from a 2-goal deficit to defeat the Bruins 3-2, taking a commanding 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinal series. A pivotal moment occurred in the third period when Bruins coach Jim Montgomery issued a coach’s challenge for goaltender interference involving Charlie Coyle. Reflecting on the incident and the officials’ decision, Coyle said, “I really didn’t get one… we challenged and they saw it differently.”

  1. I seen toe nails touch the goalie and they call goaltender interference. Been saying it for decades that the NHL is a bush league. The best player ever said it and I agree with him.

  2. IF A DEFENDING PLAYER HAS BEEN PUSHED, SHOVED, OR FOULED BY AN ATTACKING PLAYER SO AS TO CAUSE THE DEFENDING PLAYER TO COME INTO CONTACT WITH HIS OWN GOALKEEPER, SUCH CONTACT SHALL BE DEEMED CONTACT INITIATED BY THE ATTACKING PLAYER FOR PURPOSES OF THIS RULE, AND IF NECESSARY A PENALTY ASSESSED TO THE ATTACKING PLAYER AND IF A GOAL IS SCORED IT WOULD BE DISALLOWED.

  3. Everybody knows Florida is a better team and it’s been a battle for the B’s. But, I didn’t think they would have to battle the refs as well. I’m sure Florida doesn’t need their help.
