As a Aboriginal Native Indian this makes me very proud that the Leafs hired a Native head coach I was the biggest Ted Nolan fan when he was coaching I still miss him. But now the Leafs have Chief Berube & he is the man for the job he is the coach you want to go to war for he deserves tons of respect for how he played the game he was fearless!
Leafs players who don't play hard for Chief will be gone or in the press box.

It's not a coaching problem. It's a Franchise problem. They ain't hungry. The franchise is way too successful even when losing. It's a J O B to these guys. Win or lose they don't care.

Living in Los Angeles the visiting teams used to practice at the Culver City ice rink and the bus would pull in they get off fully dressed except with their skates and we went down to see the Flyers one time…and they were so nice….hextal was huge! AnywAy, We went to go watch the practice and toccet and Berube were working on how to delivery a nice elbow when you are facing the boards and somebody is going to crush you face first. Toccet/was the teacher, but Berube knocked him down and almost broke his nose…..Berube felt terrible…..naturally, tocchet laughed and said, I think you have it.”
