Canuck Tracker Updates for 2024-2025

Hello Fellow Canuck fans.

As you might know I maintained a Canuck Tracker Google spreadsheet throughout the season this year and made many updates as the season went on to add functionality and data to it (All manual data entry FYI) (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ejCQ-pA4PcGbZh8MlfmR7ClKRRDyJfMPy7JmLSG3eIM/edit?usp=sharing)

Anyway for next season I've found a much better method for entering game data and have created the skeleton of a new spreadsheet that impliments this new data entry method and should have all the same functionality as last years sheet

The things I first of all have to wait on before I can fully put the new sheet together are

1: Next years full NHL Schedule

2: The method NHL.com is going to use to display the logoless Utah team on their game pages as I'd like to be consistant with that

Anyway MY plan this year was to perhapse make some video content as the season progresses talking about how I'm doing with the tracker and with more than just "This is what it is and this is how it works"

One question I have is asside from my planned additions of tracking player point/goal/assist progress towards what they got last year does anyone have any cool ideas for things I could put in here that I might not have thought of?

Oh my god you entered this data manually?? Super impressive

Not sure how you’re doing this but I figured out how to scrape most/all of the data in the nhl APIs with R.. maybe there’s a way to do this directly into sheets? If you want to discuss or are interested in what data I have lmk 🙂
