An inside look at Bray Wyatt’s final creation of “The Fiend”

An inside look at Bray Wyatt’s final creation of “The Fiend”

He was here, a bunch came like, three or four times over the summer, spit balling ideas. I wanna do this, I wanna do that. And from there, we started working on the new Fiend. We made the new lantern. We threw little animatronics in there, so the eyes moved back and forth. We made the new mask, started talking about gear. >> When I’ve always wanted something new, something fresh, something different. >> What would the next evolution of The Fiend be? [MUSIC] >> We 3D sculpted a body form of Windham. The mask had already been approved by Windham. This jacket was actually something he had purchased, and his mother and father sent it to us, so we were able to use that. Windham always loved little Easter eggs. When we did the original lantern, if you look, the eyes just look like stitches, but they’re actually roman numerals of Nash’s son’s birthday, so we just kept that tradition going. The pinstripe. When we got the idea to do each one of its children’s names, we loved making you look at something twice to find something else more about it. The stitches we did, in a way, to where they’re actually the roman numerals of what would have been his wedding anniversary, which is December 6. Twelve on this side. And then here we have the six. One of the ideas that Windham had was instead of doing the spider walk where he leans backwards, if we did something where he could lean forward, his hair would kind of fly up over, so when he was crawling around, you would expose the second mask, which would be hidden by his hair. Gross, disgusting face on the front, but then on the back, we’d have this beautiful face and to one of the most beautiful face with Jojo’s. So we 3D scanned Jojo’s face, and we were able to make a copy of that and then sculpt it, and we decided to put these mockingbirds on there. That’s another homage to Jojo. Wyndham’s nickname for Jojo was Mockingbird. [MUSIC] It’s devastatingly heartbreaking that this is the last thing I ever get to work on with my best friend, but I couldn’t be more proud of my crew and everyone that came together that helped us bring this to life. >> I think it just really just hurts the most that I never got to tell him how much he meant to me. I never felt like work with him. I just felt like I got to hang out with my best friend, and I missed that. If I can give this to his fans, which meant the world to him, then not all of him is completely gone. So if I get to help my friend live on in some way or capacity, I’ll be okay with that. I can do that. [MUSIC]

  1. The future of the WWE would have gone in a huge reign of terror, another championship run for him amazingly, R.I.P MY HERO BRAY WYATT 😭😭😭😭😭

  2. This is beautiful.. WWE world, houses Wyndham’s final creation. This also means a lot to me cause I love the fiend and it’s in my home. Pennsylvania.

  3. I watched the full documentary and its absolutely heartbreaking to see this beautiful soul taken from us so early. Bray was truly a creative genius and The Fiend was definitely his masterpiece. I wish I could relive that experience watching The Fiend at Summerslam for the first time.
Rest easy Windham. You are truly missed.

  4. If Mr windham never passed away. There could’ve been a more menacing and terrifying version of the fiend which was this one. And also if the story and the writing was right, the pairing of uncle howdy and the fiend would be insane. Never say never.

  5. I think this was gonna be used for Wrestlemania 39 when he was supposed to face Bobby Lashley such a shame that he never got to debut it RIP Bray Wyatt.

  6. Out of all my years of seeing wrestlers passing away and only crying 1 time after hearing about it I’ve cried literally so many times about bray Wyatt passing away and I almost cried again while watching this 💔💔💔

  7. I really hope bo dalls contiunes his legacy, wwe is missing that dark edgy character now and he would fill the role perfectly

  8. Rest in peace Windham rotunda but it can't the fiend because Bray Wyatt said the fiend is dead it must have been like a buzzard sort of thing

  9. I bet somehow they will at some point give Bo dallas some power which lets him get control of the fiend

  10. 🥺🥺🥺 this is insanely a wicked cool version of the fiend more terrifying then ever maaaan if only he were still alive dude like WTF why did you take him so early god he was just getting started and in his prime now all we have to think about is what IFs forever R.I.P Bray you are truly missed and one of a kind crazy creative with your character you have inspired me to write horror stories now

  11. I wish Bray was still alive today.

I would even be totally ok if he had to retire early from wrestling due to health problems, if only he was still alive today.

    RIP big man 🍻
