Flyers wearing their logo flipped horizontally on the left side of the helmets so the wings are facing the right direction. This image is from 2004 playoffs (don’t know how long they did this)

I’ve seen stickers like this for vehicles, but would never get them. There’s only one way to display it…anything else is wrong.

It was only for a few years but this has always been one of my fav Flyers idiosyncrasies. Right up there with the high pointed “1” on the original jersey that disappeared eventually, and did the same thing when they started wearing it as a throwback in 2010.

At this size, it’s so small it seems pointless to flip it. If they were the size of the most recent stadium series, I wonder if it would look better.

Our logo is such a catch 22.
If you display it the normal way, its like the guys are skating in the opposite direction the Flying P should be moving
If you flip it, the logo is moving the right direction, but our Flying P becomes a Flying q
No matter what you do, you always have a drawback to it, which is so indicative of the last decade of flyers hockey it hurts my bones

It was Ed Snyder. He drew a line in the sand and never wanted his logo split up in the middle of the ice. They did for a little bit after he died, but then went back to it, realizing he was right. Don’t know if this is the reason they did it with the helmets too, but sure seems like it would be. It’s like how us military personnel only wear the flag with the stars going forward as if we’re running into the fight not away from it.
