This Red Wings team is getting really good, happy they signed James Reimer. The Atlantic might be the toughest division in hockey, I'd like to see a new alignment or playoff format so quality teams like the Wings, Sens and Sabres have a better chance, and there'd be less of the same match-ups every year.

The signing this year have been awful. Hopefully they trade for Debrincat & give him a massive contract to ensure their demise.

I still believe in the plan too. Patience is how you do a rebuild properly. The only thing I’ll never understand is why he traded bertuzzi. Nonetheless with some lottery luck we would not be having this conversation. Most of his picks haven’t even arrived yet. Be patient

I'm not saying it won't happen. But I will say that Wings fans don't have a right to talk shit about something that hasn't and isn't even guaranteed to happen. All I hear about is "trust the Yzerplan." Bruh nothings happened yet. 3 years ago it was "Give it 2-3 years." It's 3 years later and its "Give it 2-3 years." In 3 years it will probably be "Give it 2-3 years."
I think it’s interesting Yzerman’s saving $10 million in space to keep Debrinct in play. Which may cost around $9 mill and he’ll most likely have to give up Berg to get him. Wings were in the race last season w/o Bertuzzi most of the year. The young players will get them in and then the vets like Perron and Matta will have to help them in the playoffs.

I think part of the reason fans are getting restless is the salary cap. As much as I hate the Yankees for spending all the money they want for the best players Holland did the same thing. The Wings were the Yankees of hockey. I read a comment from someone saying that he's not sure if Yzerman is aware that his winning teams were full of future hall of famers. I'm not sure if that guy is aware that YOU CAN'T DO THAT ANYMORE!
So what is the Yzerplan? Sign players to contracts mostly ranging from one to five years and keep the ones he wants who are willing to stay and flip the others for as much value as he can get to create a positive accumulation of assets. It's not flashy, but it works.
Fabbri is our best left wing when he plays, I doubt he will be the odd man out.

As a die hard wings plan we are setup to be a dynasty. We have one of the best prospect pools in the league along with a very solid team currently, should make that playoff push this season. Yzerplan is just getting started, he had to dig out of the deep hole Ken Holland left us in.
