‘Penalty kill is Oilers deadliest weapon’: Rishaug on Oilers strength in playoffs | Jay on SC

Was the penalty kill the difference in Game 4? What did you think of the Oilers lineup for Game 4? TSN Oilers reporter Ryan Rishaug joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss the Oilers continued dominance on the penalty kill, how it is their deadliest weapon so far in the playoffs, and how important Kris Knoblauch’s lineup changes were for Edmonton in their big win to tie the series.

  1. The Oilers PK has more goals this series than the Dallas power play. That’s something I didn’t expect from this series!

  2. send Nurse to AHL ))) $ 9.5 million🤑 man has WORST performance among ALL Oilers during postseason with ( – 12 ) 😝

  3. Imagine if the Oilers played 60 minutes like their PK, but with one extra player. They’d be unbeatable.

  4. I love how nurse basically hog ties sutter into Otto. As a goalie, that should be goalie interference, but there is a 0% chance that ref is going to call that.

  5. Nobody would have a problem with Nurse if he played like that all the time. But He has an "A" on his sweater and is payed plenty for it. It shouldn't have to be the fans and media holding Darnell accountable.
It's the western conference final and he had to be chastised in order to give a full effort? That's Worse

  6. The Oilers deserve a lot of credit for their comeback despite some challenging moments from goalie Stuart Skinner. Their resilience and determination on the ice have been impressive. Let's give credit to the entire team for their hard work and perseverance.

  7. Against Canucks, it was a lethal power play.
Against Stars, that same power play is awful, but the penalty kill is lights out.

Maybe…and hear me out….maybe it isn't the Oilers being so exceptional at either, but each opponent being really bad at different things.

  8. That just doesn't compute!! It's almost like saying taking penalties is an advantage, IT'S NOT. Wake up and talk some sense for the love of god people.

  9. 93.2% this playoffs. Its not just Dallas. But yes their PP has dropped to like 33% thanks to Dallas and Oettinger. Mind you they haven't had many opportunities this round.

  10. The Oilers' PP is pretty good but the refs don't want to let that happen. The number of obvious penalties they refuse to call Dallas for while calling soft crap on Edmonton is a friggen joke.
