I went to NHL 24 to cope and look what happens in the playoffs…👀

This is mostly just for fun and because I think this team was grossly mismanaged this season. I have PLD on second line along with Clarke playing the entire season. Breaking up Drew-Mikey pairing and not playing Englund. Also included points production which I honestly think would be pretty realistic given these combos. And oh my, check out that first round result, wouldn't that have been nice!😂

I don't play any of the games either. All is simulated on All-Star difficulty with trade difficulty set to high. I do turn injuries off mainly bc I like seeing how players grow but also the constant notifications are annoying 😂

As for the contracts…I work with what the game gives me lol. I think QB would definitely be less for a 2-3 yr deal while Spence would obviously be more for a 6 yr. But we move!

What do y'all think of the Kaliyev trade? Personally I think it's actually quite reasonable. Maybe IRL we do a 2nd Rd pick instead. But Jarvis is a great player and I think Carolina would actually utilize Kaliyev well, power play time and potentially fluctuating between third and second line winger. He's more than a depth player imo and has great potential, while Jarvis has certainly proved himself this year as a Top 6 F.

I am going to update as I simulate through the next several seasons as well…I am preparing for the 2026 off-season 👀

I don’t see that trade happening at all, respectfully. Why would carolina trade a young proven top 6 forward for an unproven one?

if byfield signs a 2 year, 0 chance it’s for over $7million. he’s only passing $7million if they give him a big extension, in which case it’s probably closer to 8, if not higher. for a bridge deal, everyone’s expecting $4.5-5.5ish for 2-3 years. knowing blake he’ll probably be a dumbass and give him $6…

no way they bring back lizotte or grundstrom at $2 million each. that would be absolute lunacy by Blake. those are NHL minimum roster spots that generate almost $2.5 million in cap space that will desperately be needed for a goalie, and a middle six forward to replace RV.

also no way spence signs a 6 year deal at $2.25 million… why would he ever do that?

haha I love it. I used to do that too, but it’s been years since I’ve bought a new NHL game sadly.

I mean you’re kidding yourself if you think that Jarvis trade would work in real life but hey… video games are meant for this kind of stuff

I do the same shit. I figured out how to get kaliyev to work out and murdered englund.

This is what losing to the Oilers three straight years does to us, we’re on that EA copium

I literally started a Kings franchise last week for the same reason lol! Love your line combos. Did you switch up the coaching or left it as is?
