4 and a half months feels to long!
Here’s to improvement to the Blueshirts and (hopefully) NOT a disappointing next season!
LGR from Norway!

Cuylle will take a step. Otther will improve this team. Chytil hopefully takes his actual next step. Lot of reason to see Laf leading a new young core.
Our defense is the real concern. Fox is great but not strong enough for deep runs, Lindy probably doesn’t need to come back, Miller makes way too many mistakes/is not as elite as people pretend, Trouba obviously is cooked, Gus was fine until he was our worst player.
Honestly we have the goaltending and have the forwards. Yeah zibby didn’t show but getting no scoring out of our defensemen hurt our run. I worry while Jones is talented does he have the physique we are lacking. Schneider is the only defensemen that wasn’t a straight up disappointment this postseason imo

I’ll see you all in October but I enter the year with no expectations as long as 8/93/10. I enter the year not really getting hyped for some 4 point night by Panarin knowing by May, he won’t care enough to backcheck and coasts seeing a game winning goal go in.

It was fun while it lasted…. I will hopefully be a little busy in October.

I think my old age is getting to me. These losses used to kill me but now I’m just along for the ride. One day they will win it all and it will be oh so sweet.

Here’s something to look forward to:
Lafreniere has so far been following the same trajectory as Nathan MacKinnon, who had his big ppg breakpoint in year #5
After these playoffs, it really feels like lafreniere is building to something big with his 5th year coming up

The more things change The more I stay the same As the world unravels I remain ..And the band played on… I remain

I’ll always love this team, but it’s going to be a long, painful off-season.

Next year,
Lafreniere will likely be playing better than ever.
Our top guys likely will have learned a lesson.
We might have traded Kakko.
Brennan Othaman could be on the team.
We will have had a chance to sign guys in free agency.
We won’t have the pressure of living up to 1994’s expectations. We won’t have to worry about this being “the year”.

Igor only gets better with time.
We might have traded Trouba.
Overall I’d say we are in a good position.
