After not qualifying for the playoffs during their first four seasons, the Vancouver Canucks had improved by the end of 1974. The Canucks were on their way to finishing 1st in the new Smythe Division.
Despite being the WHA’s 2nd worst team in 1973-74, the Vancouver Blazers led the league in attendance. Two new promising players for the Blazers in 1974-75 were Pat Price & Ron Chipperfield.
